Luther Trail Tour Tip: Luther Experience Trail Eisenach

There are many ways to get from the centre of Eisenach to Wartburg Castle, probably the most famous castle in Thuringia. However, this route via Schlossberg hill now provides hikers and Luther aficionados with an additional highlight. At 15 points along the route, large-format information boards have been set up that explore Luther’s life in his ‘beloved town’ more closely. Impressive biographical pictures, quotes from Luther himself as well as an insight into the most significant, historic events that occurred during his lifetime entice you to read, pause and reflect. The occasionally very steep gradient is broken up into stages making it seem easy even for inexperienced hikers.
