F. Dufft und Josef Fick übernahmen das Lokal einige Jahre später. Die "Schöne Aussicht" war das ganze Jahr über ein geschätztes Ausflugsziel mit Kaffekränzchen, Kegelnachmittag, Tanz und Unterhaltung. Auch so manche Jagd wurde hier kräftig gefeiert. Jährlich wiederkehrend am dritten Pfingsttag fand die berühmte Brautschau statt. Ein Tag, an dem keine Anreise zu Weit erschien. Nach dem Verkauf der "Schönen Aussicht" an die Wasserwirtschaft Weimar und später an das Reparaturwerk Clara Zetkin Erfurt erwies sich die Lage als optimal für ein Kinderferienlager und Schulungsstätte der Kampfgruppen.
Nach der Wiedervereinigung stand das Gebäude sieben Jahre leer und blieb ungenutzt. 1999 wurde die "Schöne Aussicht" von Familie Franz/Lange nach liebevoller Restauration als Ausflugslokal neu eröffnet.
